HB551B.748 - Hawk HPS 5.0 brake pads;

For years engine manufacturers have been pushing engines to the limits of their capabilities and we at Hawk Performance are closer than ever to pushing the ABS rev limiter to its limits. High Performance Street 5.0 pads give your vehicle maximum stopping power and pedal feel without compromising the ABS. HPS 5.0 is an iron-carbon compound that offers advanced braking characteristics to enhance the riding experience. This compound combines the safety and quality of aerospace design with motorsport braking technology. The result is shorter braking distances, improved performance under heavy braking and characteristics suitable for road cars. Operating temperatures: 37-400°C

Optimum temperature range: 37-290°C

 

HB551N.748 - Hawk HP Plus Brake Pads;

Hawk High Performance Plus (HP+) disc brake pads use a unique high-tech iron-carbon friction material, developed and manufactured for autocross, Solo II and track day applications. The iron-carbon formulation offers lower wear rates and higher torque values than other competitive materials. These pads offer a significant increase in braking torque and temperature range over OEM pads and are usually recommended for beginners who have little or no track experience and are looking for an upgrade over OEM pads.

Operating temperatures: 37-430°C

Optimum temperature range: 150-315°C

 

HB551G.748 - Hawk DTC-60 brake pads; front

Hawk's DTC-60 racing compound offers extremely high deceleration and superior modulation and release characteristics. This is not an entry level race compound and should not be used on the street. It should be used when you are an experienced rider with track experience and have had problems with less aggressive compounds that overheated or did not provide enough bite.

Hawk DTC-60 racing brake pads have the same temperature range as Hawk's DTC-70, but produce less braking torque. Many drivers of smaller, lighter cars often use DTC-60 pads on the front and DTC-30 on the rear, while on larger, heavier, high-performance or racing cars, DTC-60 are more often used on the rear and DTC-70 on the front.

Operating temperatures: 205-870°C

Optimum temperature range: 370-595°C

 

HB551U.748 - Hawk DTC-70 brake pads; front

Hawk DTC-70 pads are more aggressive than DTC-60, but have the same temperature range. Many drivers of Corvettes, Mustangs, Porsches, BMWs and other race cars choose to use the DTC-70 front and DTC-60 rear. It really is a winning solution for racing, either alone or in combination with the DTC-60.

Operating temperatures: 205-870°C

Optimum temperature range: 425-650°C
